May I refer to Parameswara 2 on October 16, 2010 8.29pm. It is an interesting angle as envisioned by Mr Parameswara 2. The observation may be true but I beg to differ. The Chinese people are quite similar to the Quraish of pre islamic era. they are without religion. 1-You have correctly equated the Chinese to the Quraish pre-islam 1400 years ago.The reason God have selected the Quraish for the 'opening' mission of Islam was ,amongst others ,their awesome strength produced by the tough desert terrain etc,etc.They were Pagans steep in idolatry and a people capable of burying their own daughters alive for fear of shame.But for this big mission God had chosen them instead of what should have been the natural candidates the already believers, People of the Book!

2-So accordingly God raised the Prophet from amongst them to take them out of darkness into light.From once insignificant desert dwellers they become the leaders that changed the cultural landscape of the Old World forever.Whether you are Muslim yet or not is totally immaterial.But whether you have what it takes or not that matters.We have a very big global job at hand.And only the ones qualified will be considered.Not any Tom,Dick or Harry.

3-It's time now for the 'conclusion' of History.Mankind has eventually arrive to the situation when the whole world from one end to the other can communicate in one global language,real time,face to face.We are all now living in a huge small global village with its inhabitants all set to be one big Human race.And ready to worship this one universal absolute Creator of the Universe together.

4-This is the big vision.The big mission is to appoint the right guys to lead this Global village.The Zionist Jews think its their promised destiny to rule over the rest of us and looking at how ugly the means they employed to volunteer for this position, we must seek another people.I choose the Chinese who I know are equally ready if not better..

5-In my vision the Chinese will be the right people to bring glory and honor to this message of peace again because they have got what it takes.If the Quraish could be converted no reason the Chinese can't esp we have seen millions of them accepting Islam before.These are the people from the East who will appear beyond the Qorasan as the Prophet have foretold in a sohih hadis.

6-But of course Islam must be restored first ,it must come in the form that charmed the Chinese of Xian,Xin Jiang and Yunnan before.Everything is subjected to the laws of cause and effects.It all happened with a reason.It doesn't happen in a vacuum.If they don't see it they don't believe it.Trust me they have seen that awesome Islam before.

7-If there is anyone who can make Islam proud and glorious again,it'll be the Chinese.That is why I believe that God will sent his chosen one to come to restore his message and repeat this mission of the Prophet. He will be raised amongst the Chinese but he is not a Chinese.

The Chinese people, like the Japanese are successful in material terms only. They are absolutely clueless and have no hidayah about islam, as much as they are blur on the concept of God. Unless God takes pity on them and give them hidayah and become God fearing and openly endorse, support and embrace Islam, their success is limited to short term materialism. We must realise that the Chinese not only export textile and industrial products, they also export vice like prostitutes to all over the world, including Thailand, the country of prostitutes. They penetrate all sectors of trade including the shady ones.

To the Chinese, the Chinese muslims are renegades. It is now up to tun Mahathir as the head of Perkim to dakwah Lim kit Siang, Lim Guan Eng, Chua Soi Lek, Vincent Tan and the rest. The government and the Malays also should not be anti Chinese but inclusive. Government policy should be seen to be fair and equitable.

1-The world is obviously at that stage of time for another major change of civilization.As Visa's founder de Hock had predicted 'a 400 year civilization is ending and a new civilization is struggling to be born..'The USA will soon be history and that new civilization would probably be that of the Israelites'.

2-That's what the Jews have been working hard for all these while.It practically began the moment they had their control on the Federal Reserve Bank of America in 1913.The First World War ensued and the Ottoman Empire was destroyed freeing Palestine for Jewish settlement.The Great Depression was manufactured in 1929 and this led to WW2,and the nation Israel was born as soon as the War ends.

3-The moment they had control on the currency issuing unit of the most powerful country in the World they have begun to control the whole world in its entirety.Not only The financial markets are in their control even the whole economy including the bubble booms and the bust, enabling them to make money any way the market goes.

4-And soon when they are ready to install Jerusalem as their promised capital then they will crash the USD destroying the economies of the USA,EU,China,Japan and any other possible threat to their ambition of dominating over the gentiles.Its their plan since the establishment of Israel in 1948 coming full circle.

5-But the real civilization of the world will be taken over eventually by a people God have saved for last.A people whose civilization has lasted 4000 years.A group of people who have brought prosperity wherever they go and have exploited all the gifts that God have blessed them so they are more deserving of the rule of the World.

6-They are the Chinese people.A people who have not caused much mischief in the land and are only interested to better themselves and their communities by working hard.They are the people deserving of God's favor.So for the Malays/ Muslims its only wise to support and be friendly to them instead of fighting them.They may be our only saviors against the Jews.

We are all really in a hot soup aren't we.The USD is really a currency without a credibility that we all can't leave home without.Its nothing but a promise to pay by a country heavily in debt and yet living way beyond its means.

The world knows that but they have to keep it going simply because if it eventually be what it really is, a worthless piece of paper, countries like China, Japan,S.Korea, Taiwan and Singapore whose combined holding is 50% of total USD reserves will be impoverished overnite.

But the fact is no matter how powerful USA is as the sole superpower it cannot continue to abuse its military might to rob the world with its empty promises to pay forever.This something for nothing will eventually run out of lucky streak..and that dreadful crash must come.

This is the law of the universe.Nothing is for free.The longer it takes before this balloon economy crashes the worst its going to be for the World.Actually the Central banks of these a fore mentioned countries are in a dilemma.Keeping the USD see them losing value year by year but disposing it off would only hasten its crash and they will lose even more.Di telan mati emak diluah mati bapak.

Syukur alhamdulillah, Tun dapat teruskan bergiat dalam blog kepunyai Tun ini. Pesara seperti saya mendapati kegiatan blog Tun ini amat sihat, berguna dan memberangsangkan. Ia dapat mencetuskan perdebatan yang membuka minda dan berfaedah. Cuma kadang2 ada individu yang menjadi terlalu personal, kurang bersopan dan tidak bertimbang rasa dan beremosi yang keterlaluan. Kegiatan blog Tun ini juga saya anggap antara jasa2 besar Tun kepada rakyat dan negara. Kebolehan Tun amat sesuai untuk menjadi ketua blog kepada rakyat seperti kami.

Izinkan saya merujuk kepada amidala on Oktober 1,2010 4.50 pm. Apabila kita sebut dinar emas saya rasa kita lebih merujuk kepada mata wang negara islam. Jika kita guna istilah euro emas, dollar emas, ringgit emas, riyal emas atau dinar emas, ia mempunyai kaitan sedikit sebanyak dengan konsep mata wang sesebuah negara. Zaman Rasulullah mata wang yang digunapakai dipanggil dinar dan bukan ringgit atau euro. Negara2 kafirun mencari alasan untuk tidak setuju atas sebab islamophobia.

Tiada issue pasal nota kredit. Saya percaya sistem perdagangan antara bangsa lebih mengguna system clearing yang diuruskan oleh bank pusat masing2. Nota kredit digunakan oleh seseorang peniaga bahawasanya ia terhutang baki setelah ditolak campur semua urusan. Nota ini menandakan ia terhutang sekian banyak kepada rakan niaga counter part.

It is also a medium of exchange, bulky and most of all exhaustive which means it is limited in supply. Whereas goods and services traded are increasing in value, volumes and sophistication. Cadangan penggunaan dinar emas bukan sahaja akan melumpuhkan dolar,malah membina kekuatan negara-negara islam.
Saya hairan kerna OIC tidak mengambil berat cadangan Tun demi menaikkan ekonomi negara-negara islam.

Please read my posting carefully. I never supported the US Dollar as international currency. I was talking about gold being not suitable as currency whether domestic or international simply because it is exhaustive in nature. Like tin, silver, petroleum and other minerals found beneath tha earth, they are exhaustive or depletive in nature. Their supply is fixed and they cannot be manufactured and increased in supply whereas the goods and services to be traded internationally keep on increasing in volume and value. Further more the role of gold here as currency is only as a symbol. It is more effective in international trade using Letter of credit, credit cards and other modern tools. people doing business on line transfer billions of RM just by a click of a key board button. Remember Nick Leeson bankrupted Baring Bank by losing 25 billion pounds in just 2 weeks in share market in Japan operating from his office in Singapore.

Everybody knows US overprint its currency. But there is no substitute to the US currency as international mode of payment. China holds trillions of US currency as reserve knows it but has no choice but to uphold the value of the US currency. Otherwise their reserve in US currency become of less value. China and the whole world has to support the US currency for the above reason. Euro is still no substitute to US currency. Furthermore, the US is the biggest economy in the world and the super power.

I believe the current economic crisis in the world is due to total irresponsibility of the Bush administration by starting the subprime loan and the invasion of Afganistan and Iraq. As long as the US does not totally stop the wars in Iraq and Afganistan, recession in the world would persist.

Initially I had faith in Obama to genuinely do the correct thing by stopping the war. Unfortunately, yahudi and orang putih surrounding him would not let.

Malahan, ada pihak yang mendakwa bahawa para Presiden Amerika Syarikat seperti Abraham Lincoln dan John F. Kennedy telah dibunuh oleh pihak tertentu (International Bankers) disebalik sebab bahawa presiden-presiden tersebut begitu berani menentang telunjuk dan kehendak para ‘International Bankers’ itu.

Ada pula pihak yang menyatakan bahawa Presiden Abraham Lincoln telah enggan meminjam wang daripada ‘International Bankers’, lantaran beliau telah arahkan kerajaan beliau supaya mencetak sahaja matawang ‘The US Greenback’ untuk membiayai perang saudara Amerika Syarikat semasa era zaman 1800’an. Manakala, dikatakan bahawa Presiden John F. Kennedy pula telah mengeluarkan satu ‘Presidential Executive Order 11110’ pada tarikh Jun 4, 1963, yang memberi kuasa kepada Perbendaharaan Amerika Syarikat untuk mencetak wang Dollar Amerika lantaran kerajaan Amerika Syarikat tidak perlu lagi meminjam dan bergantung kepada matawang Dollar yang dikeluarkan oleh pihak ‘The US Federal Reserve’ (yang merupakan sebuah Bank Pusat Amerika Syarikat yang BUKAN dimiliki oleh kerajaan Amerika Syarikat, akan tetapi dimiliki pula oleh pihak para ‘International Bankers’ dan juga entity persendirian).

Nescaya, tindakan kedua-kedua presiden Amerika Syarikat tersebut telah menimbulkan kemarahan para ‘International Bankers’ yang telah sekian lama memonopoli segala urusan matawang atau pinjaman kepada mana-mana negara di dunia ini. Maka, itulah akibatnya (diancam atau dibunuh) jika terdapat mana-mana sahaja para pemimpin negara, yang enggan menurut kepada segala telunjuk dan kehendak para ‘International Bankers’ yang zalim dan rakus itu. Kini, amat jelas bahawa sistem matawang (fiat money) yang lemah dan rapuh itu telah menyusup dan menjadi ‘darah-daging’ dan begitu sebati dalam segala urusan dan transaksi harian setiap manusia diseluruh dunia kita ini. Maka, kita perlu bebaskan diri dari dibelenggu dan diperhambakan oleh suatu sistem matawang yang menzalimi dan lagi batil itu.

Kita perlu sedari bahawa sistem kewangan sejagat yang telah direka-cipta oleh para ‘International Bankers’ itu pastinya lambat-laun akan merudum dan runtuh. Maka, suatu matawang yang lebih realistik, kukuh dan stabil wajarlah kita ikhtiar dan usahakan untuk menjadi nyata. Oleh yang demikian, suatu sistem matawang yang berbentuk atau bersandar kepada Dinar dan Dirham (emas & perak) wajarlah diutarakan dan dikemukakan ke seluruh dunia. Sekali lagi, persoalannya siapakah pemimpin di dunia kita ini yang sanggup tampilkan diri dan berani untuk menyuarakan perkara ini. Kita tunggu sahajalah masanya untuk siapa yang berani tampil dan melawan sistem kewangan dunia yang batil ini.

Apakah dengan jatuh merudumnya matawang tersebut, maka manusia sejagat akan terkena tempiasnya atau akan terkena kesannya secara langsung lantaran boleh mengakibatkan kehidupan ramai kita kelak secara ekonomi akan menjadi porak-peranda? Itulah kesan yang kita perlu ikhtiar dan usahakan untuk elakkan daripada berlaku.

Im very tired of all this banking system or so called casinos..We are all slave by consent to the capitalist system, in fact most of us are proud to be their slave..thank you to their gutter education implemented in the schools and universities.. the so called globalization world, they come out with all nice words and definition to make us work for them... in fact our education system come from the British and Americans..when we learn economic at school we dont even question why is economics thought in that way..we just learn and follow..when we get our degree, just sign in the to be a slave by consent employment letter so that they can use our hard work and sweat to fill their belly...
Tun, they created paper money and put it as legal tender..we dont question them, we just go to school and learn the economic indicators and terms created by them...people that work hard and own a business is suffering from the so called debt created by the financial institution..when business cant pay back their paper money, they take over the company out of someone's else sweat..since they have put money as legal tender..and we follow their regulation, they now can buy all the gold in the world with the paper that they created out of thin air, as a result they have influence of the gold prices..thanks again to their gutter education...
Tun, I think that in addition of using gold and silver for international trade and business..individuals should also keep some for them selves..i suggest that if and individual have a salary of what ever amount..he should purchase the gold and silver..everytime he wants to spend, convert a portion of the gold and silver that he/she has to cash and buy the this you need..i dont trust paper money anymore..and i dont think that they will push the price of gold down because gold has intrinsic value. If you push the price down that would be better because all of us would continue buying the gold and silver...they will make it harder for us to purchase gold when the value of paper money goes into the garbage can..

PM Malaysia ketika itu TUN MAHATHIR "PANTAS" menghidu "JERAT" IMF dan BANK DUNIA maka TUN membuat keputusan menggunakan "ALTERNATIF" lain untuk keluar dari kemelut ekonomi.Kesannya pada ketika Negara sedang "TENAT" menghadapi kegawatan ekonomi yang "DICIPTA" oleh MR.G.S tetapi TALIBARUTNYA buat kekacauan POLITIK dan boleh dikatakan orang MELAYU ketika itu sudah TERBAHAGI dua puak.
HEBATNYA Barisan Nasional serta parti-parti komponennya pimpinan TUN telah berjaya menstabilkan keadaan ekonomi serta politik dan Rakyat Malaysia telah melihat dengan kepala dan mata sendiri proses peralihan kuasa TUN MAHATHIR kepada TUN ABDULLAH dilakukan secara "GENTLEMENT" segala cacat cela sosial ekonomi dan politik sudah dikembalikan pada asalnya.KEMENANGAN BESAR Barison Naional dalam pilihraya selepas itu MENGUATKAN lagi bahawa RAKYAT MALAYSIA mengakui serta puas hati idea-idea TUN MAHATHIR menyelamatkan sosial ekonomi dan politik negara memang amat berkesan.SAYA selalu bertanya pada diri sendiri KENAPA TUN memilih orang itu jadi MENTERI KEWANGAN serta TPM ? Dari segi LOGIK akal saya mengajak RAKYAT MALAYSIA terutama orang MELAYU berfikir dengan FAKTA diatas boleh ke BEKAS MENTERI KEWANGAN dan TPM itu dan apa akan terjadi sekiranya beliau menjadi PRESIDEN MALAYSIA dan mampukah beliau mengekalkan apa yang ada sekarang dan memajukan lagi NEGARA sedangkan UJIAN 1998 beliau telah terang lagikan bersuluh IDEANYA GAGAL buktinya banyak Negara yang seangkatan pemikiran dengan beliau tersungkur jatuh ekonomi negara tersebut amat sukar untuk kembali NORMAL !!!
TAMBAT RINGGIT RM3.80 / 1 USD telah terbukti berjaya walaupun perlahan tetapi pemulihan ekonomi tetap dirasai.
Negara TANAH BESAR di ASIA pun menggunakan kaedah serta mendapat manfaat kesan pemulihan ekonomi yang lebih baik daripada negara-negara yang meminjam dengan BANKERS PENYANGAK !
IDEA untuk menggunakan DINAR EMAS muncul selepas TAMBATAN matawang
sudah tentu TUN MAHATHIR telah membuat penyelidikan sebelum mencetuskan idea ini.Di Kelantan ( MALAYSIA ) kerajaan negeri telah cuba mempraktikan penggunaannya NAMUN saya tidak pasti samada ianya satu GIMIK POLITIK pada pandangan saya seperti mahu MENUNJUKAN pada para pengundi ( Pilihanraya 2012 ) mereka lebih Islamic berbanding kerajaan pusat walhal sistem pasaran kewangan Islamic lebih daripada penggunaan DINAR EMAS.
Kerajaan pusat telah belajar dari kesusahan menstruktur ekonomi melalui sistem TAMBATAN RINGGIT dengan pengalaman tersebut kini kerajaan cuba menerima pakai idea menggunakan DINAR EMAS yang mana nilainya tidak boleh dimanupulasi dan menjamin sistem pasaran kewangan yang lebih ADIL dan TELUS.IANYA ibarat seperti belajar dari Darjah 1 kemudian masuk Darjah 2.
Mampukah pelajar Darjah 2 masuk ke Darjah 3 tanpa melalui Darjah 1 ?
Sama-sama kita tunggu dan lihat.
Samada PENYANGAK MATAWANG atau PIHAK DISEBALIK TABIR sudah tentu tidak mahu penggunaan DINAR EMAS dipraktikan dan berita tentang REJECTION penggunanaannya amat kurang didengar tetapi saya yakin mereka sedang merangka sesuatu untuk menggagalkannya.
Segi logiknya DINAR EMAS sukar dipraktikan kerana negara-negara miskin yang meminjam dengan BANK PENYANGAK sudah tentu tidak boleh mengamalkannya ditambah lagi pula dengan negara kaya dengan hasil bumi yang berpandukan sistem pengurusan ekonomi negara BANK PENYANGAK serta sekutu-sekutunya sudah tentu ikut telunjuknya.Negara-negara kaya ini tidak mahu susah payah fikir pasal ekonomi dan saudara seagama dengan mereka disembelih Yahudi pun tidak ambil peduli Naauzubillah!

Untuk kegunaan ekonomi terkini, Dinar Emas yg dimaksudkan itu adalah lebih praktikal, berdaya saing dan stabil dalam penggunaan perdagangan rentas sempadan yakni perdagangan antarabangsa. Ini kerana, selain dari faktor Emas sebagai ukuran nilai kekayaan-benar (real wealth measurement) yg bebas atau kurang terdedah dari/kepada spekulasi, sentimen dan manipulasi, emas juga adalah neutral iaitu ia tidak tertakluk kepada hakmilik atau hakcipta atau tertakluk kepada kedaulatan sesuatu negara, ia adalah World Common Exchangeable Currency (Kadar Pertukaran Milik Seluruh Dunia).

MAKA, berbanding zaman sekarang ini Dollar US mendominasi transaksi2 dagang antara negara2 yg berasingan yang mana kebergantungan yg berpanjangan inilah yg menjurus kepada beberapa ketidakadilan dan manipulasi matawang, bahkan menyedari betapa berkuasa dan berautoritinya matawang USD, ia juga sedikit sebanyak mempengaruhi tingkah laku pentadbiran Rumah Putih dan pemodal/pelobi US yg beberapa kali menjalankan serangan atau tekanan ke atas sesebuah negara yang tidak digemari mereka, sehingga ada yg menyebabkan huru hara, rampasan kuasa, penyerahan kedaulatan ekonomi negara tertentu dan banyak lagi.

Kemudian, perdagangan antarabangsa melibatkan nilai volume dagangan yg tinggi melibatkan ukuran jutaan TEU (Ukuran Senilai dengan Kontena 20 kaki) dan ia bukan seperti berbelanja runcit membeli di pasaraya 2 - 3 ratus ringgit, ia bernilai besar, maka Dinar Emas memang sesuai lah .. Ini kerana nilai se gram emas pun sudah beratus ringgit sekarang, maka kadar dan berat yg mungkin boleh diformulasikan akan selayaknya lah untuk transaksi besar.

Walaubagaimanapun, untuk penggunaan Dinar Emas (bayang kan swkwping syiling Dinar Emas beratnya berapa gram dan ia setara dgn berapa ratus ringgit?) sesuai kah ia diguna untuk membeli gula 2 kilo dan ikan dan sayur di pasar, maka akan berlaku keributan ketika memberi wang baki terutama kepada pekedai kecil..... Kalau untuk perdagangan Import / Eksport tak per lah...

Lagipun dahulu tahun 1990-an segeram emas RM29-RM39, dan sekarang sudah lebih dari RMseratus,, dan di zaman Rasulullah SAW, emas dan dinar juga lebih byk digunakan untuk perdagangan besar antara kafilah dan juga untuk berdagang ke Syam,,, untuk peruncitan lebih byk menggunakan wang syiling dirham perak atau timah yg lebih wajar nilai nya untuk urusniaga domestik, Terima kasih. dalam forum ni ramai yang masih belum faham apa dia duit aka currency.
untuk sekali imbas sahja mari kita renungkan definisi dan fungsi sebenar duit dan kita kaitkan dengan fiat money yang wujud sekarang. serta kita ungkit kembali sejarah dinar serta kaitan fiat money dengan riba yang kuat.
Wang atau duit merujuk sesuatu objek atau barang yang diterima masyarakat umum dan sah di sisi undang-undang sebagai medium pertukaran dalam urusan jual beli dan urusniaga lain dan di gunakan secara tetap.
fungsi-fungsi wang:
1)sebagai medium pertukaran
2)alat mengukur nilai
3)alat menyimpan nilai
4)alat bayaran tertunda
wang fiat yang kita ada sekarang ini telah gagal menjalankan fungsi 2,3,4 yakni mengukur nilai,menyimpan nilai, alat bayaran tertunda.
wang fiat gagal.inflasi yang berlaku bukan lah di sebabkan permintaan dan penawaran tetapi di sebabkan kegagalan wang fiat menjalankan fungsi-fungsinya. dari segi syara ini adalah haram di sisi islam kerana telah menghilangkan hasil yang diperolehi oleh individu. sebagai contoh mudah si folan bekerja di ladang dan mendapat upah rm1000 sebulan dia menyimpan duitnya selama beberapa bulan sebanyak rm1000 dengan harapan dapat membeli seekor lembu untuk hantaran khawin beliau tahun hadapan kerana harga lembu skg berharga rm1000. akan tetapi setelah tiba waktu hendak meminang pemuda tersebut gagal membeli sekor lembu kerana harga lembu telah meningkat rm1500. oleh kerana itu si folan hanya mampu membeli kambing yang berharga rm800 sayang keluarga wanita telah menolak pinangan si folan kerana gagal memberi apa yang telah di janjikan. setelah penat lelah bekerja selama beberapa bulan mengumpul duit si folan gagal. hasil keringat titik peluh beliau telah hilang akibat kegagalan matawang fiat mengekalkan fungsi wang sebagai medium penyimpan nilai dan alat bayaran tertunda.
cuba kita renungkan kemanakah nilai duit ini pergi seperti angin? jawapan jelas nilai duit itu telah berpindah secara tidak langsung kepada pihak2 yang mengurus matawang fiat dunia a.k.a zionis. mereka mendapat cukai secara tidak langsung hasil dari titik peluh orang miskin tanpa perlu bekerja keras.
mengikut wikpedia Wang fiat adalah wang yang nilainya ditentukan oleh undang-undang dan bukan adanya barangan dan perkhidmatan. Wang fiat, contohnya wang kertas, merupakan simbol komoditi atau janji kerajaan [5]. Walaupun dipanggil dan dianggap wang, wang kertas bukanlah wang yang sebenar. Nota wang kertas adalah berasaskan janji untuk membayar wang sekiranya dituntut.
Wang fiat menyelesaikan beberapa masalah wang komoditi. Wang kertas lebih mudah disimpan dan diangkut berbanding ketulan emas dan perak. Buku cek dan urus niaga elektronik memudahkan lagi pertukaran.
Namun kegagalan besar wang kertas (dan syiling) adalah sebagai nilai simpanan. Dolar Amerika Syarikat (atau Nota Simpanan Persekutuan) telah kehilangan 95% daripada nilainya sejak 1913. Wang kertas sering kehilangan nilainya melalui inflasi, kerana wang kertas sentiasa diisukan atau dikeluarkan. Wang kertas turut mempunyai kekusutan apabila pengeluar wang kertas tidak boleh membuat pertukaran dengan janji untuk membayar dengan emas atau perak. Kekusutan pertama Nota Simpanan Persekutuan adalah pada 1933 apabila rakyat Amerika tidak boleh lagi menebus atau menukar dolar kepada emas pada $20 per auns. Kegagalan kedua pula pada adalah pada 1971 apabila orang luar yang ke Amerika tidak boleh menebus nota untuk emas pada kadar $35 per auns. Pada 2006, nilai dolar telah merudum kepada lebih kurang $700 per auns.
Wang fiat, terutamanya dalam bentuk kertas dan syiling, mudah rosak atau hilang. Namun kelebihannya terhadap wang komoditi ialah undang-undang yang mencipta wang fiat juga menyatakan bahawa wang yang rosak atau binasa boleh diganti semula. Sebagai contoh, kerajaan AS akan menggantikan wang kertas yang cacat atau rosak sekiranya sekurang-kurangnya separuh wang itu dapat disusun semula [8]. Disebabkan wang kertas amat mudah rosak, sesetengah kerajan seperti Malaysia, New Zealand dan Singapura mula menggunakan wang plastik.
Satu lagi kelemahan wang kertas adalah ia bergantung kepada sistem undang-undang (kerajaan) yang mengeluarkannya. Sekiranya kerajaan tersebut jatuh, mata wang yang bergantung padanya akan turut serta.
dengan keadaam economy usa sekarang yang menanggung hutang yang besar wang fiat tidak akan bertahan selama seratus tahun lagi kerana negara-negara rakan dagangan akan hilang kepercayaan untuk membeli bon terbitan federel reserve usa, dimana negara-negara itu kini telah meningkatkan pegangan ke atas emas tanda-tanda itu jelas apabila negara seperti china dan teluk arab telah meningkatkan rizab emas mereka sebagai insurans jika perlaku keruntuhan ekonomi dunia.

Menyelusuri sejarah, dinar emas telah menjadi piawai bagi mata wang dunia, selama beribu-ribu tahun, sehinggalah ia diganti kepada wang kertas dolar hanya pada awal tahun 1970-an.Dinar berasal dari perkataan bahasa Latin Denarius iaitu matawang yang digunakan oleh Kerajaan Rom yang diperbuat dari logam perak. Ianya digunakan pada tahun 211 sebelum masihi di mana 1 denarius perak beratnya kira - kira 4.5 gram.Dari perkataan Denarius ini, wujudlah pelbagai matawang yang lain seperti Denier (mata wang perak Perancis), Denaro (mata wang perak Itali), Dinar (mata wang emas Islam), Dinero (mata wang perak Sepanyol) dan Dinheiro (mata wang perak Portugis).Pada penghujung zaman Republik Roman, mata wang Denarius dari logam emas mula digunakan dengan dikenali sebagai Denarius Aureus yang bermaksud Denarius Emas. Semenjak dari itu, perkembangan mata wang emas telah berubah mengikut peredaran zaman di mana semasa pemerintahan Constantine The Great (306 – 377 Tahun Masihi) mata wang emas lama telah ditukar dengan mata wang yang lebih ringan yang dikenali sebagai Solidus yang beratnya 4.5 gram. Mata wang emas Solidus ini telah digunakan sehingga berakhirnya zaman Empayar Byzantium dan telah tersebar penggunaannya ke seluruh Semenanjung Tanah Arab sehinggalah ke zaman awal Islam. Dari zaman bermula berkembangnya agama Islam, penggunaan mata wang dinar emas dan dirham perak dari Parsi telah digunakan menjadi mata wang bagi setiap ummah ketika itu dalam urusan jual beli.Hanya pada zaman pemerintahan Khalifah yang ke-3 iaitu Khalifah Saiyidina Ummar al-Khattab (13 – 23 hijrah / 633 – 644 masihi), penggunaan mata wang dinar dan dirham mula dikawal dari segi corak dan berat. Di bawah pemerintahan Khalifah Ummar, corak mata wang Islam telah diukir dengan nama Allah s.w.t. dan sebahagian dari ayat-ayat suci al-Quran. Berat mata wang Islam ini juga telah ditetapkan iaitu mata wang dinar mestilah mengandungi emas seberat 1 mithqal (iaitu seberat 4.25 gram ukuran pada masa kini). Manakala bagi mata wang dirham pula, beratnya adalah sebanyak 2.975 gram perak (ukuran pada masa kini) di mana jika nilai tukarannya dengan dinar ialah 7 dinar emas bersamaan dengan 10 dirham perak.Kepentingan dinar emas jelas dicatat dalam buku Ibn Khaldun yang bertajuk “al-Muqaddimah.” Di dalam buku tersebut, mencatatkan akan wahyu Allah s.w.t. memasukkan dinar serta dirham dan ini telah membawa bersamanya banyak kaitan dalam hukum seperti zakat, perkahwinan dan hudud. Sebab itu di dalam wahyu Allah s.w.t. dengan jelas telah menyatakan akan ukuran yang tetap mengenai zakat dan sebagainya dengan menggunakan dinar dan dirham tidak dengan yang lain. Islam mementingkan keredaan Allah s.w.t. dalam setiap pelakuan dan pekerjaan yang dilakukan kerana keredaan Allah s.w.t. akan memberikan kesejahteraan kepada kehidupan dunia dan akhirat. Idea mengembalikan dinar emas bukan suatu perkara kecil kerana ia secara langsung atau tidak, turut melibatkan soal sistem sosial, ekonomi, politik, dan, keberkatan dari-Nya.Malah, kelemahan umat Islam sedunia mula ketara apabila berakhirnya penggunaan dinar emas. Menurut sejarah, pemerintahan Islam di bawah Khalifah Uthmaniyah di Istanbul, Turki telah dihelah dengan kemajuan dan pembangunan. Pinjaman wang kertas daripada Eropah untuk membangunkan Turki telah menjadikan negara tersebut berhutang dan melalui sistem wang kertas bersama riba telah melemahkan pemerintahan Khalifah. Riba sangat dibenci Allah s.w.t dan Rasulullah s.a.w. Ini diterangkan dalam al-Quran yang bermaksud: “Maka jika kamu tidak mengerjakan (meninggalkan sisa riba) maka ketahuilah bahawa Allah dan Rasul-Nya akan memerangi kamu. Dan jika kamu bertaubat (dari pengambilan riba), maka bagimu pokok hartamu, kamu tidak menganiaya dan tidak (pula) dianiaya,” (al Baqarah:279).Memang tidak dapat dinafikan, sistem wang dunia berasaskan wang kertas dan berlandaskan riba ini telah telah membawa kepada banyak kerosakan seperti kemiskinan, kerosakan alam sekitar, monopoli pengeluaran dan pengedaran. Sistem ini juga menimbulkan berbagai masalah seperti pengangguran, jenayah, maksiat dan kejatuhan moral. Sistem ini yang dikendalikan oleh institusi perbankan, sistem demokrasi dan ahli politik yang tidak bertanggungjawab telah memberi sumbangan kepada kesengsaraan masyarakat dunia.Ibnu Abbas r.a. dari Ishaq Ibn Basheer dan Ibn Asakir di Kanz al-Ummal mendengar Rasulullah s.a.w. bersabda, yang bermaksud: “Orang yang pertama mengikuti Dajjal adalah 70,000 orang Yahudi...dan antara tanda pelepasan Dajjal adalah amalan riba.” Kini, dinar emas telah kembali dan ramai umat Islam dan bukan Islam dari seluruh dunia menyeru supaya dinar emas ini dikembalikan. Ditengah-tengah kekalutan ekonomi yang melanda kini, kilauan dinar emas dilihat dapat mengembalikan sistem kewangan yang lebih munasabah dan mantap. Ramai yang telah sedar akan tipu helah sistem kewangan yang ada dan masyarakat dunia sudah mula meminta supaya mengembalikan kebebasan untuk memilih. Sekiranya demokrasi dilaungkan di seluruh dunia supaya diamalkan dalam semua perkara, mengapa tidak kebebasan diberikan untuk memilih dinar sebagai wang?

Secara bahasa riba berarti bertambah tumbuh tinggi dan naik. Adapun menurut istilah syariat para fuqaha sangat beragam dlm mendefinisikannya. Sementara definisi yg tepat haruslah bersifat jami’ mani’ yaitu mengumpulkan hal-hal yg termasuk di dlm dan mengeluarkan hal-hal yg tdk termasuk darinya.Definisi paling ringkas dan bagus adl yg diberikan oleh Asy-Syaikh Muhammad bin Shalih Al-Utsaimin rahimahullahu dlm Syarah Bulughul Maram bahwa makna riba adalah: “Penambahan pada dua perkara yg diharamkan dlm syariat ada tafadhul antara kedua dgn ganti dan ada ta`khir dlm menerima sesuatu yg disyaratkan qabdh .”

Dari Abu Said ra, Bilal ra membelikan Rasulullah saw barni (sejenis kurma yang baik) dan apabila Rasulullah saw bertanya kepada Bilal bagaimana kurma ini diperolehi, maka Bilal ra pun menjawab “Saya ada kurma yang kurang kualitinya ditukarkan dengan barni - 2 sa’ untuk 1 sa’.Mendengarkan hal ini Rasulullah saw pun berkata, “Oh, ini adalah riba. Jangan lakukan begitu. Sekiranya kamu berkehendak, maka jualkan kurma yang kurang kualiti tersebut dengan sesuatu yang lain dan beli lah kurma yang lebih baik dengan harga yang ditawarkan.” (Muslim & Ahmad). mengapa dalam hadis ni rasulullah kata itu adalah riba kerana pada masa tu bila wang dinar kurang di pasaran maka masyarakat menggunakan kurma sebagai medium wang kerana kurma boleh menyimpan nilai. dan ini adalah haram kerana ada lebihan seperti kita menukar wang rm5 dengan rm10 dan dari hadis ini juga kita dapat mengetahui tukaran matawang asing a.k.a forex exchange adalah haram kerana di niagakan secara komoditi.sedangkan fungsi wang adalah medium untuk pertukaran,mengukur,menyimpan nilai,alat bayaran tertunda.
secara logik dan rasional wang fiat tidak mempunyai nilai pun melainkan ianya hanyalah note ia mempunyai nilai kerana anggapan atau persepsi masyarakat yang mengiktirafnya sebagai wang yang bernilai. cth: note rm10 sama juga nilainya dengan note rm50 secara literal kerana bahan serta material yang di gunakan untuk memproses note ringgit itu adalah sama.cuma akibat dari persepsi masyarakat serta undang-undang yang membuatkan wang itu bernilai secara psikology dan batin.
dinar emas mempunyai rekod yang cemerlang selama 1400 tahun. kempen inflasi sifar akan berjaya kerana selama 1400 inflasi hampir sifar dinar telah di rekodkan.
moga-moga usaha tun akan di sambung oleh generasi selepasnya sekurang-kurangnya peringkat awal antara negara sebelum di kenal pada masyarakat seperti matawang euro.

Dahulu semasa negara kita menghadapi crisis keewangan terlalu ramai yang tidak bersetuju dengan Tun dan malah mencemuh Tun dengan cara menangani krisis itu.

Tetapi lihat sahaja cara Tun bukan sahaja berjaya tetapi juga menyelamatkan syarikat atau kompany yang dalam dharurat.Malah economist sedunia memuji cara Tun menangani masaalah itu dengan cemerlang.

Semenjak itu negara semakin maju dan berwibawa sehingga pucuk pimpinan(PM) negara di anugerah kan kepada Pak Lah.Satu demi satu jatuh hingga BN menerima kekalahan. Tak tau lah kalau Pak Lah masih memegang jawatan apa akan jadi?

Datuk Najib juga perlu banyak mendengar nasihat Tun.Apa perlu nya kita melepaskan tanah KTMB kepada Singapura? yang mana Tun mempertahankan nya bertahun tahun.

Kepada bijak pandai yang selalu mencemuh Tun, jangan lah jadi saperti kata pepatah saperti anjing menyalak bukit.

Apa yang Tun perkatakan adalah benar. Jika diteliti dan dirujuk kembali semua ucapan Tun tentang dinar emas, Tun tidak pernah mencadangkannya sebagai matawang negara. Ia lebih kepada medium pembayaran pelarasan perdagangan antarabangsa.

Melaui pertemuan saya dan rakan-rakan saya dengan Tun beberapa bulan lepas di pejabat Tun di Menara 1 KLCC, Tun telah memperjelaskannya. Tun ada mencadangkan semasa menjadi Perdana Menteri penggunaan dinar emas untuk pembayaran pelarasan import eksport antara Iran dan Malaysia. Tidak tahu mengapa, sehingga Tun tidak menjadi Perdana Menteri, perkara ini tidak pernah direalisasikan. Dalam masa yang sama, ramai yang salah tafsir apa yang diperkatakan Tun.

Saya ada menulis tentang 'Antara Duit Kertas dan Dinar Dirham' dalam majalah Dewan Ekonomi, September 2010. Apa yang Tun perkatakan turut dipaparkan dalam artikel tersebut.

Nak komen pasal dinar emas tak pandai sangat. Dari penjelasan Tun & setengah bloggers, penggunaannya atas konsep yang digunakan di Kelantan memang akan datang banyak masalah. Wait & see. Saya bimbang ianya menjadi isu hukum Islam yg dipermainkan untuk political mileage, nothing else. Kalau betul kerana hukum sebagai amalan sunnah, perlulah dihuraikan dengan nas2nya, jangan cakap sahaja. Saya menyeru kepada semua ummah, dalam hal hukum/ibadah supaya untuk menentukan kebenaran kita mesti mendengar APA YANG DIKATA dan bukan SIAPA YANG BERKATA. Wallahu'alam.

At least Kelantan can alleviate some its money problems and help poor Kelantanese every since they blocked from receiving their oil royalty after Kelantan fell to PAS.

Pertama sekali saya menyokong penuh pendapat yang diutarakan oleh YABhg. Tun bahawa dinar emas yang dicadangkan hanya untuk dagangan antarabangsa sahaja malah dinar dan dirham yang diperkenalkan di Kelantan bercanggah dengan peraturan Pusat dan jelas menyalahi Perkara 61, 62 dan 63, Akta Bank Negara 2009 yang memperuntukkan bahawa Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) sahaja berhak mengeluarkan wang kertas dan syiling yang diperakui di Malaysia.

Usaha Kerajaan Kelantan dalam menjadikan penggunaan Dinar Emas sebagai mata wang alternatif di Malaysia dilihat boleh mencetuskan huru hara terutamanya dikalangan masyarakat dan peniaga berikutan mekanisma perlaksanaanya yang masih belum jelas dan terbukti. Tindakan Kerajaan Kelantan ini juga dilihat kurang bijak malah bakal mengundang masalah dari Bank Dunia dan Tabung Kewangan Antarabangsa (IMF).

Memang tidak dinafikan bahawa dinar emas diakui mempunyai keistimewaannya tersendiri dari segi kestabilan dan nilai intrinsikya. Walaubagaimanapun, dinar emas dicadang hanya untuk menyelesaikan bayaran lebihan antara import-eksport dagangan antarabangsa memandangkan perdagangan antarabangsa memerlukan penetapan kadar pertukaran matawang di antara negara yang terlibat.

Apa yang pernah disarankan oleh YABhg Tun satu ketika dahulu ialah penggunaan dinar emas sebagai sistem penjelasan pembayaran dalam perdagangan dua hala (BPA) atau pelbagai hala (MPA) antara negara – Negara OIC. Walaubagaimanapun ini hanya akan berlaku apabila terdapatnya persetujuan antara negara –negara yang terlibat.

Ini sekaligus telah menyangkal dakwaan pelbagai pihak tertentu yang beranggapan bahawa YABhg. Tun Dr. Mahathir telah mencadangkan penggunaan dinar sebagai mata wang alternatif bagi menggantikan Ringgit Malaysia dalam urusan seharian.

Kerajaan Kelantan berhasrat menjadi negeri pertama mempelopori penggunaan mata wang syariah dalam semua urusniaga, termasuk membayar gaji kakitangan kerajaan negeri.

Walaubagaimanapun, mereka lupa bahawa Kerajaan Negeri Melaka di bawah pimpinan Y.A.B Datuk Seri Hj Mohd Ali Bin Mohd Rustam melalui anak syarikat Yayasan Melaka, iaitu syarikat Singgahsana Emas Sdn Bhd telah mula beroperasi sejak 16 Jun 2004 lagi dalam usaha mempromosi dinar emas sebagai mekanisma simpanan, mas kahwin dan cenderamata. Atas sebab- sebab tertentu syarikat ini kini sudah tidak beroperasi lagi.

Dear Tun,

In life we have to be practical and sensible. Let us not be sentimental about gold. To dicuss this topic one has to have some basic knowledge of economics otherwise we dont know what we are talking about just for the sake of talking.

What Tun is talking about is the history of gold standard in international settlement of payment. Participating countries valued their currncies on weight of gold. In 1834 the United States valued usd20.67 to an ounce of gold. But in 1971 President Nixon abondoned gold standard. During gold standard the US honoured their promise to redeem US currency with gold. Due to persistent deficit, France redeemed shiploads of gold from the US until gold reserve in the us become depleting.

From my point of view, gold as international currency is not practical, untenable and restrictive as much as if it is used as domestic currency. It is also a medium of exchange, bulky and most of all exhaustive which means it is limited in supply. Whereas goods and services traded are increasing in value, volumes and sophistication. Let us not look back. It has absolutely nothing to do with religion. It is our civilization. Let us not put everything in religious perspective. Let us not say it is islamic currency and non islamic currency.

The article below was written on August 21, 2010 titled "Can Gold Dinar be the Alternative Currency?

Many have misconstrued my arguments when I said now is not the moment to launch Gold Dinar as alternative currency. I am not against the idea of using Gold Dinar as currency as it is in fact a sunnah currency. However, in my view, before Gold Dinar can be placed in circulation and to ensure maximum adoption by the mass, we must first identify and address all constraints that could pose as risks towards the re-birth of Gold Dinar.

We know very well at present, the world view on monetary system alienated any form of bi-metal to exist as currency.

The issue in hand is, would the adoption of Gold Dinar as alternative currency in Kelantan attract unwarranted attention from the outside world that could pose some sort of risks to market participants i.e. traders,investors of Gold Dinar and the country as well.

As we all know, gold has been a long-time enemy of Fiat money. Thus, launching Gold Dinar today is akin to launching a war against the system that upholds Fiat money. Of course, the day will come when we have to launch war against Fiat money being the foundation for riba economy as well as the money machine for the Capitalists. The question in hand is, are we ready with all the defenses to counter the aggression and potential counter attacks by the proponents of Fiat money?

A friend of mine once said, "To launch Gold Dinar today as currency, is akin to 'cutting a brick with a plastic knife'. An interesting quote but what does it actually means?

The fact that for as long as the Capitalist system rules our live, a Gold Dinar currency will not survive its days because the system has been designed to partner with only Fiat money. Without which, riba economy will collapse. In other words, Gold Dinar is incompatible with the current Capitalist system and to launch Gold Dinar as alternative currency could only be meaningful under a pure Islamic economy.

Having said so, how would Dinar Kelantan survive the light of the day when it is operating under a Capitalist system that is un-Islamic? The fact remains that we are not in support of Fiat money as it has causes many financial miseries and crisis. However, under the present Capitalist system that we are subjected to, the choice is not on us as we are obliged to adopt the Federal's constitution that imposes Ringgit Malaysia (RM) as the legal tender. Bear in mind that we are not the only country that is trapped under the Capitalist system. The entire world is the victim of the Fiat money system under the close guardianship of the World Bank. As Muslim, whether knowingly or unknowingly, we have no other option but to use the current Fiat money system as it is the rule of the day.

Dinar Kelantan must first considers the constraints within the economic system rather than taking the stand to blame the government of Malaysia for not supporting Gold Dinar as alternative currency. As has been said, Malaysia is not the only country that is trapped under the Fiat money system and to single out Malaysia as not supportive is an act of treachery to the country.

Before going into further details, we have to ponder of the facts leading to the use of Fiat money that replaces bi-metal as currency. Historically, currencies were pegged to metals because they carry intrinsic value. However, the 'Nixon Shock' era had pulled off the safety pin by de-pegging gold from USD, marking the end of Bretton Wood system in 1971. Ever since then, the world economy and monetary system was supported by paper money that carries no intrinsic value. Fiat money creates riba and is the greatest man-made invention that supports Capitalism or riba economy. Its predatory nature does not exercise just and fair as it is solely driven by greed. The Asian financial crisis in 1997 was an example as to how countries can be made poor by currency manipulation. Though unjust and unfair, proponents of the Fiat money system has no mercy when it come to money making as business motives are generally driven by greed for maximum profit.

Having said so, let us ponder on the rational and practical aspects of implementing Gold Dinar as currency as in my observation, there are still many unanswered issues that are yet to be answered by Dinar Kelantan.

1) There is no buy-back policy for Kelantan Gold Dinar. A buy-back policy is needed to allow conversion of Gold Dinar into the official legal tender which in this case is RM. Without such policy, purchasing power will be limited as it is not possible to purchase every item with Gold Dinar and Silver Dirham.

2) The role of currency is to facilitate economic activity. The reported 1,000 outlets that support Gold Dinar and Silver Dirham would not be able to serve the mass that are widespread within and outside Kelantan.

3) Arbitraging on price differences could take place as Gold Dinar is subject to the daily movement of the world gold market price. If the fluctuation is robust with no mechanism to fix the price of Gold Dinar globally, the metal could be eventually traded for profit instead of its intended purpose as currency. This is not in line with the requirement of the sunnah.

4) The use of Gold Dinar and Silver Dirham need to be supported by smaller denominations known as 'Fulus'. Without 'Fulus', trade will be effected as the smallest denomination introduced is 1 Dirham which is equivalent to RM13.

5) Gold Dinar is the currency of sunnah that addresses the ill-effects of the Fiat money. However, for it to become the currency of the day, it must gain support form the Muslim world. Tun Dr.Mahathir Mohamad first spoke about Gold Dinar in 1984 but sadly until today, many are yet to support on its implementation.

6) And lastly, the launch of Gold Dinar as alternative currency is done without any consultation with the Bank Negara Malaysia and such act is deemed as disrespect to the law imposed under the Federal's Constitution.

Gold Dinar proponents often regularly quote Tun. Dr.Mahathir Mohamad on the subject of Gold Dinar as currency. However, many misconstrued the idea behind Gold Dinar proposed by him. As pointed out by Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad during a recent meeting with him, he reiterated his idea of using Gold Dinar is for bilateral trade settlement. Under this proposal, the gold reserve for participating countries is used to nett-off bilateral trade settlement between participating countries. Netting settlement would not require a large physical transfer of gold from one country to the other but rather on net balances. However, his proposal has not gained momentum as the Muslim at large, is not supportive of the idea. When it comes to use Gold Dinar as currency, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad commented that it is not possible to do so now for as long as the Fiat money system is in exist. It is the official money of the day with a well guarded system and for it to be undone, Gold Dinar must first prove that it is equally effective and flexible as Fiat money.

Lastly, the intention of this write-up is not to discourage the use of Gold Dinar as currency of sunnah. We take the view that the time is yet to come for a widespread use of Gold Dinar. More researches and efforts need to be garnered in order to understand its implementation. Without which, it will continue to become the relics of the past as to how the Capitalists view Gold Dinar today.

Asslamualaikum Ayahanda Tun, Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri to you and your family. I just want to share my 2 cents opinion with regards to your REAL suggestions of way of using gold dinar.

The genius Imam Al-Ghazali in his book 'ihya ulumuddin'has said that the gold and silver is nothing but just a form of metal. However, what makes it valuable is because Allah has created the love for gold and silver inside one of us, and that makes it valuable. Lots of people perceive the use of dinar and dirham is in line to the original Islamic finance requirements. The usage of dinar and dirham in Kelantan local government is said linked to your suggestion while you were PM. Apparently, lots of people confuse with the usage of gold dinar suggested by you. These people fail to see that the dinar and dirham as currencies of exchange will make people tend to hoard the money whereas in Islam, the wealth should be circulated in the society. The wealth cannot be hoarded. That is why Islam impose zakat 2.5% to the wealth hoarded. The zakat is also seen as a form of penalty for hoarding the wealth or money. Say that the public now keep the dinar which is may equivalent to RM2,000 per dinar chip. Thus, by the end of the year, the holder must pay 2.5% from the market value of the dinar kept (which may now RM2,800 or RM1,800 depending on gold market value, and YES, THE VALUE OF GOLD DO DEPRECIATE!!!).

That is why, some Islamic finance scholars with solid knowledge in economics and finances (not just the Shariah knowledge!!), tend to disagree with the use of dinar and dirham as currencies. For them, it will leads to the backwardness even though they against the fiat money and aware to its grave consequences (as you mentioned above: 1 ounce of gold during Bretton Woods system equal to $35 USD and now, $1,300 USD per ounce, implicate the devaluation of USD at the international level). However, to these Islamic finance experts, to go back and implement the real gold and silver as currencies is not an option. This is because of the fluctuation value of gold and silver which may disrupt the whole economics equilibrium. Furthermore, how much gold and silver are there in the world before it can be used as the alternative currencies by every country? Notwithstanding to the quantity available, the value of gold do fluctuate. Just follow the price of gold from 2009 until early of 2010 where the price reaches to its highest point in history before it fells down miserably. This may indicate price fixing activities of gold at the international level which we may equate it to the trading of currencies scheme!!! Rule of thumb: Gold price up (appreciate), USD down (depreciate), vice versa. This mechanism is clearly shown in one of JOHN TRAVOLTA thriller film, "THE TAKING OF PELHAM 123". The manipulation of price is possible and probably, is happening right under our nose!!

Thus, we have to be very careful to the notion of Gold Dinar = Islamic Finance because in Islam, the wealth should be circulated, That is why, fiqh al-muamalat (Islamic commercial transactions) endorsed the use of Mudharabah (profit-sharing partnership) and Musharakah (profit and loss sharing partnership) vehicles so that the wealth can be distributed equally. Mudharabah and musharakah are very powerful economic vehicles. And these vehicles were borrowed by europeans by way of cross-cultural activities during european medieval eras and brought them out from the darkness. We can sense it usage during colonization (east india company!!)or we read back the history of how the dutch / Portuguese naval explorer / missionary financing their expedition [How Christopher Columbus accidentally found America!? Apparently, he was looking for the financier for his journey. Say that if he lost and died in the sea or attacked by Captain Jack Black of the Pirate of Caribbean,he lost his life and money. However, he found new land and took back all of the profits from the trading and share it with all his crews and financier (mudarabah / musharakah ?!)]. What I am trying to say is that the maqasid of Shariah (objective of Shariah) in fiqh al-muamalat is focussing the economic activities and wealth generation mechanisms INSTEAD ON THE USAGE OF DINAR / DIRHAM CURRENCIES!! People tend to focus on the FORM when we should focus on the SUBSTANCE. And that is ISLAMIC FINANCE.

The best possible way of using gold dinar (instead of using it as currencies and to be used as day to day transactions) is by way of settling the Balance of Payment (BOP) between trading countries as per your suggestion. The fact that we (OIC countries) also heavily trade between each other, why not we settle the difference of imports and exports between each countries by way of tangible economic substance which is gold! This in turn will help each other in keeping country gold reserves thus push the local currencies at the international level because the real economic factors will take place instead of using the USD fiat money. Even the local currencies are still fiat money but we have to bear with it because of the impediments as mention above. When the BOP is settling by way of gold, the real economic factors will take place and this will subsequently; influence the economic situation of the participating countries. The economics of OIC countries will grow stronger together. This eventually will make them less dependent on using the USD currency which is prone to currency trading. Subsequently, the local currencies of each OIC countries will grow stronger because of the real economic factor, not because of the trading currencies in the international market. This in turn, will make OIC into powerful economic block disregard to where the countries are located (so far, we see the economic corporation such as EU and others are depend on the geographical factor). By having powerful economic corporation whilst the countries involved scattered all over the world, will bring more contagious effect (of course positively effect) to the world (my conspiracy theory, yet to be proved).

The misconception of gold dinar link to the religious dogma must be corrected. I want to use the analogy of this misconception from the uses of anesthetic in medical surgery. The anesthetic substance was found in 16th century and only to be used in medical surgery in early 19th century. This is because of the religious dogma saying that one needs to endure the pain without any reliance to anesthetic. I believe, the application of gold dinar chip as currency is just a pure religious dogma in the modern economic literature or just a form of identity clash to show that I am more Islamic than the others. It reminds me to the story of Pakistan when they were separated from India. In order to show to the world that they are different from its counterpart (and should have a new identity) and to be seen more Islamic, thus, the late General Zia ul-Haq in 1970s determined to have full Islamic economic system disregarding the conventional economic system that relied on interest-based (usury) endorsed by the predecessor in just one night without any proper planning. He was so determined and with his political will, the system was changed overnight. This is what left now.

RAM Holdings Bhd senior economist Kristina Fong said Malaysia’s economic fundamentals were stronger and the banking sector was more resilient than before (with respect to the Asian financial crisis period), so the country would be more prepared to face adverse shocks such as a speculative currency attack and might even be viewed as being less of a target for hot money.

4. “The timing is appropriate as long as the liberalisation strategy proceeded in an orderly manner with the right foundation such as strong economic fundamentals and a resilient banking structure in place,” she told StarBiz.

5. A treasury official with a local bank said a thorough cost-benefit analysis should be conducted to ascertain if the internationalisation of the ringgit would provide an overall benefit to the development of the domestic economy, while taking into consideration the potential increase in volatility and disruptive non-trade flows.

6. “The decision of whether the internationalisation of the ringgit should be done or not rests upon key factors such as the extent of international trade, underlying fundamentals of the domestic economy, the economic benefits of such a move and adequacy of reserves buffer for intervention to smooth out volatility in the event of speculative attacks on currencies, among others,” he said.

7. To recap, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak had said in an interview with CNBC on Saturday that the Government was open to allowing the ringgit to trade offshore.

8. However, he also said most investors did not view this as key for their investment decisions.

9. “Most importantly, there is no restriction in terms of repatriation of dividends and profits, for example, and bringing in currency through the banking system,” he said.

10. Fong said the internationalisation of the ringgit, carried out in an orderly and cautious manner, could bring about a greater volume of trade and investment for the country.

11. “Greater foreign access to the ringgit in overseas markets could encourage a higher level of financial inflows which could in turn be converted into physical investments.

12. “This will be beneficial to the long-term sustainability of the country’s growth,” she said.

13. HSBC Bank Malaysia Bhd treasurer Piyush Kaul said Malaysia had been moving towards reducing exchange controls over the past few years and the process of internationalisation in many ways had already begun.

14. “The internationalisation of the ringgit is welcome to the extent that it helps improve Malaysia’s attractiveness as an investment destination and made it easier for offshore entities to do business with or in Malaysia.

15. “Ensuring that the ringgit continues to trade in an orderly manner should, however, remain a key consideration,” he said.

16. Piyush added that investors generally tended to be more comfortable investing in countries that had no foreign exchange controls and allowed money to flow in and out of the country freely.

17. “It will also make trading and investing in Malaysia easier for offshore entities from an operational perspective,” he said.

18. He noted that if the ringgit was allowed to be freely traded, the number of active participants and market makers in the interbank ringgit market would go up considerably.

19. “There would be significant interest from banks in regional trading centres like Hong Kong and Singapore. This will bring more liquidity and most likely more volatility to the ringgit,” he said.

20. Fong concurred. She said with the internationalisation, the ringgit would be more exposed to external factors and speculative forces, which might undermine the relative stability of the currency.

21. “The excessive volatility in the currency could actually deter investors as volatility brings about uncertainty and factors in a higher risk element to the investment.

22. “Therefore, the inherent risks involved in this policy need to be considered with regard to the way in which the strategy is implemented,” she added.

23. TA Research economist Patricia Oh said internationalising the ringgit would raise the demand for the ringgit, providing more potential for the currency to strengthen further.

24. “It will also be positive for investment inflows into the country as investors’ confidence will be boosted by the move which reflects confidence in the country’s economic fundamentals,” she said.

25. Nevertheless, she cautioned that it should be done gradually.

26. The central bank imposed capital controls and pegged the ringgit at RM3.80 versus the US dollar on Sept 2, 1998 during the Asian financial crisis.

27. This was scrapped on July 21, 2005, and replaced by a managed-float system.

Gelihati apabila mendengar kerajaan negeri Kelantan berkeras mahu menggunakan matawang dinar emas sebagai transaksi harian. Kononya lebih Islamik, sebab ada perkataan 'arab' pada 'dinar' tersebut.

Salam Tun,

5. Lama kelamaan semua dinar emas yang dikeluarkan oleh pihak berkuasa akan hilang dari pasaran. Walau banyak mana sekali pun pihak berkuasa mengeluar dinar emas akhirnya akan habis emas yang disimpan. Inilah yang berlaku pada Amerika Syarikat yang pada satu masa memiliki 80 peratus daripada simpanan (reserve) emas dunia.

Saya ingin tambah sedikit...

Jual beli emas, dalam konteks lokal atau dalam negeri, hanya membuang masa sahaja. Ia hanya berguna bagi mereka yang ingin membuat simpanan jangka masa panjang. Tetapi kalau untuk tujuan simpanan, bukan sahaja emas, banyak lagi batu2 & logam2 berharga yang boleh di simpan.

Semuanya tidak berapa berguna sebagai "currency" seperti Tun perjelaskan. Dari segi pembangunan, ia lansung tidak bermakna. Bukan kita nak buat bangunan bangunan dari emas. Jika syiling emas tersebut dibeli dan disimpan, ia bukan lagi matawang, ia adalah simpanan emas.

Jika ada seseorang pemilik wang emas ingin membayar untuk barangan atau perkhidmatan dengan dinar emas, ia mungkin diterima, akan tetapi dengan harga jauh lebih murah dari harga pasaran. Jadi pemilik emas itu sebenarnya lebih rugi.

Jika berjuta-juta orang disekeliling semuanya ada syiling emas, ia tidak bermakna kehidupan kita lebih maju atau lebih mudah. Malah lebih mundur jadinya. Jika tiada pembaharuan ilmu pengetahuan dan seni, ada emas sahaja, berapa lama kita boleh bertahan ?

Dengan izin YTM Tun, saya ingin berkongsi pendapat berkenaan sistem pembayaraan berasaskan emas.

Kalau sekilas pandang, kesemua fakta yg diutarakan Tun adalah benar iaitu kedudukan rizab Amerika Syarikat, sistem "offsetting" dimana tiada pertukaraan logam fizikal iaitu logam emas tetapi pertukaraan kertas, harga emas yang pada satu ketikanya $35 se-ounce dan kini melebihi $1,200 se-ounce.

Tetapi kaedah ini tidak praktikal sama sekali.

Mengapa?

Dalam sistem yg diutarakan YTM Tun, ianya hanya akan berfungsi jikalau perdangangan diantara dua buah negara adalah seimbang. Iaitu pada hari ni, expot dari negara pertama ke negara kedua melebihi impotnya, dan pada kelak nanti situasi tersebut akan berubah. Maka dalam sistem sebegini, tiada pertukaraan fizikal.

Akan tetapi negara manakah yang mengamalkan perdangangan yang seimbang?

Kalau kita mengkaji secara mendalam kita akan mendapat tahu bahawa kebanyakan perdangangan intra Asean ataupun intra mana mana pun bergantung kepada permintaan Amerika Syarikat dan mungkin juga Eropah. Tetapi lebih kepada Amerika Syarikat.

Maka dalam sistem sebegini, Amerika Syarikat mengimpot lebih dari yang diekspot dan sekali gus akan mengalami "trade defisit". Trade defisit ini bukannya kecil, malah kalau tak silap saya, diantara 2005-2009 nilai trade deficit ini lebih daripada $3 trillion.

Kalaulah sistem dinar emas ini diperkenalkan, maka Amerika Syarikat akan menjadi negara bangkrap dalam sekelip mata. Kesemua rizab emas akan mengalir keluar kerana Amerika tidak mengekalkan sistem perdangangan yang seimbang.

Akan tetapi, ianya juga akan membawa impak yang cukup negatif kepada ekonomi ekonomi sedunia dan di Asia Tenggara khusunya oleh kerana ekonomi tersebut banyak bergantung kepada permintaan dari pasaraan Amerika Syarikat. Kalau tiada permintaan dari pasaran tersebut, maka logi logi dan kilang kilang yang tumbuh bah cendawan selepas hujan akan tutup kerana tiada pasaran untuk produk produk yang dihasilkan mereka. Kadar pengangguraan akan meningkat dan bukan sahaja Amerika Syarikat tetapi negara2 yang berdagang dengan mereka akan mengalami situasi yang cukup teruk.

Oleh yang demikian, mahu tak mahu, sehingga kita dapat mengembangkan pasaran domestik dan tidak payah bergantung kepada pasaran antarabangsa, maka sehingga itulah kita bergantung kepada sistem perdagangan berasaskan dolar Amerika.

Tetapi untuk mengembangkan pasaran domestik, ianya bukan sekadar meningkatkan gaji dan upah tanpa adanya pertumbuhan dari segi "produktivity." Pekara sama diutarakan oleh YTM Tun dimana Tun sendiri membayangkan kenaikkan harga pasaran dan seterusnya wabak inflasi sekiranya pendekataan tersebut digunapakai. Kalau kita melihat secara mendalam, expot utama negara dalah litar elektronik dan cip cip semikonduktor dimana negara membeli cip cip tersebut dalam bentuk wafer dari negara lain dan kemudian membuat beberapa proses proses terakhir supaya wafer tersebut akan dijadikan cip. Permintaan terakhir cip cip tersebut berdasarkan permintaan komputer dan alat elektronik dan banyak bergantung kepada permintaan di Amerika Syarikat.

Maka, untuk mengenalkan sistem dinar emas, ianya akan berfungsi sekiranya permintaan untuk produk produk keluaraan tanah air tidak bergantung kepada permintaan di Amerika Syarikat. Oleh kerana pasaran domestik negara adalah kecil, maka, negara terpaksa menjalankan aktiviti aktiviti yang lebih bernilai, atau dengan istilah bahasa Inggeris "higher value services". Akan tetapi, untuk menjalankan aktiviti aktiviti "higher value services" memerlukan daya saingan, kejituaan dan kepakaraan. Kesemua ciri ciri tersebut akan terbentuk jikalau rakyat diasuh supaya lebih kompetitif.

Sayang sekali, pendekataan tersebut ditentang oleh YTM Tun, maka tak silap saya, berdasarkan hujah hujah diatas bahawa sistem pertukaraan berdasarkan dinar emas mungkin tidak praktikal.

Terdapat sedikit masalah dengan artikel ini pada para 6 iaitu "... tetapi sebagai bata atau jongkong emas yang nilai-nilai akan mengikut harga emas dalam pasaran." Harga emas dalam pasaran nak ditetapkan dengan matawang apa? Padahal kita maklum matawang kat dunia sekarang ni lebih merupakan "Fiat money'. Takut nanti fizikal emas yang sedia ada tidak mencukupi untuk sistem dinar emas yang Tun cadangkan.

A. Gold like landed properties, FOREX, Fund Managements; insurance, ‘kutu’ can be manipulated and speculated due to universal human intelligence. They are good/legal and bad/illegal speculators and manipulators in the country and entire globe.

B. I remember one of a blogger who had worked in Hong Kong during the 98 crisis commented that instead of pointing our fingers to these rogue speculators, it is very important that we ourselves must never censor such action; and we must take the responsibility and turn such illegal activity as a micro-economic activity of BNM, SC, MACC & KDN to make sure these rogue speculators are brought to justice. I remember the blogger commented that Hong Kong regulators closely monitor, follow and investigate George Soros when he was in HK during the crisis.

C. When RM rises to 13 years high, export oriented companies will suffer loses and they may not be able to pay instalments of buildings, transports, machineries and salary.

D. For example; Exporter Company Malaysia A exported palm oil worth US$10 millions through Bank L/C to Importer Company China B.

E. On the day when all terms and conditions were confirmed and approved by Importer, the Banker will release the export proceeds to Company A, and FOREX of RM to US dropped from RM3.80 to RM3.00 on that day, this means Company A will only get RM30 millions instead of RM38 millions, and Company A lost RM8 million just because of FOREX discrepancy and it will be reflected in Book Keeping of Profit & Loss.

F. Will BN Malaysia intervenes FOREX like what we have had done in the past?

G. I doubt so because BNM and Bankers have learned from the past and they must be seen as more transparent; accountable and competent to stay in the domestic and world banking industry.

H. In order to make sure all export and import oriented companies survive since Malaysia is a trading nation, PM Najib may consider RM to tradable offshore. Here is a piece of news for Ayahanda Tun to read from thestar online:-

Ringgit rises to 13-year high against US$

2. Better-than-expected economic data from China lifts regional currencies

3. PETALING JAYA: The ringgit rose to its strongest level in 13 years against the US dollar yesterday in tandem with other strengthening regional currencies, as the latest economic reports showed China’s industrial output and retail sales in August accelerated more than expected.

4. Economists said the positive numbers from China had definitely boosted the outlook for regional economies and would encourage further fund inflows into the region. The ringgit rose to an intra-day high of 3.0971 against the greenback before settling at 3.101 yesterday, marking a year-to-date gain of 9.43%. It closed at 3.1105 on Thursday. The market was closed on Friday for Hari Raya Aidilfitri holidays.

5. Positive sentiment on the region’s economic growth aside, the advancement of the ringgit was also seen to have been due to the declaration made by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak over the week that the Government was open to reviewing the 12-year ban on offshore trading of the ringgit.

6. “The ringgit’s rise has been essentially underpinned by sound economic fundamentals both at home and within the Asian region, but there could be further upside potential for the currency if the Government lifted the ringgit offshore trading ban,” said TA Research economist Patricia Oh. “This is because the move could potentially send signals to investors that the Government is confident, not only in the fact that the country has sound economic fundamentals, but also in its ability to manage possible volatility of the economic cycle in the future.”

7. However, not everyone was excited about the possibility of such a move. Former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad was one such man who believed the move could bring more harm than good, as rogue currency traders would then have room to manipulate the currency.

8. And that could potentially wreck havoc on the value of the country’s currency.

9. Dr Mahathir pegged the ringgit to the dollar at RM3.80 when Malaysia was going through the Asian financial crisis in 1997 to help alleviate the effects of currency manipulation by rogue speculators. Offshore trading of the ringgit was also banned subsequently on Oct 1, 1998.

10. (The ringgit was traded at around 2.50 to the US dollar before the onset of the Asian financial crisis.)

11. As the Government progressively relaxed its capital control policies, the pegging of the ringgit to the US dollar was depegged and a managed float system for the ringgit exchange rate was implemented in July 2005.

12. The intention to make the ringgit tradable offshore in the future was nothing new, as it had previously been made known that such move was part of the Government’s measures to further liberalise the country’s economy.

13. “It’s merely a question of when,” said Citigroup Inc senior economist Kit Wei Zheng, who believed the recent rally of the ringgit was largely due to the catch-up factor, as the currency had lagged behind other regional units for the most part of last year.

14. Discounting any significant change in the country’s policy over the short term, many economists believed any further rise of the ringgit could be capped.

15. The ringgit is seen stabilising at around between 3.10 and 3.15 against the US dollar by the end of the year.

16. “The business cycle for the exports market is turning less bullish, and the narrowing of the country’s current account surplus over the last few months,” Kit said. “We believe there could be slight intervention by the central bank to maintain the ringgit’s competitiveness as exports come under pressure in the later part of the year.”

Saya rasa penjelasan di atas adalah yang menepati pandangan saya mengenai urus tadbir imbangan import eksport negara. Guna dinar emas untuk belanja harian tidak begitu praktikal utk jangka panjang.

Isu utama yang perlu kita bincang adalah bagaimana UMNO terus relevan pos PRU-12 dan menghadapi masa depan yang tak menentu ni. UMNO kini lebih tertekan untuk kekal berkuasa dari mencari jalan bagaimana nak mengukuhkan sokongan orang melayu. UMNO seperti hilang percaya kepada orang melayu dan mengharapkan sokongan anggota BN lain yang semakin rapuh sokongannya terhadap BN.

Orang Melayu perlukan assurance dari UMNO akan perjuangan UMNO untuk org Melayu. Tindakan tidak menyokong PERKASA merumitkan lagi peluang UMNO diterima oleh orang Melayu dan bumiputera yang lain.

UMNO masih cuba meyakinkan bangsa lain supaya menyokongnya tetapi hakikatnya MCA sendiri sudah tidak lagi berdaya membantu.

UMNO gagal melaksanakan affirmative actionnya bagi menyatukan kesemua parti-parti melayu. Apa halangannya? Kepimpinan dlm UMNO atau falsafah perjuangan UMNO?

4) ALLAH S.W.T HANYA MENEKAN PENTINGNYA KEJUJURAN DALAM JUAL BELI DAN MENGHARAP TIADA PENIPUAN MENGGUNAKAN SUKATAN.

5) MAKSUDNYA KALAU SUKAT MESTI SAMA BANYAK DAN SELALUNYA TIDAK BOLEH MENGGUBAH KADAR AWAL YANG TELAH DITETAPKAN KERANA JIKA DIUBAH AKAN BERLAKU KENAIKAN PADA HARGA SESUATU BARANG.

6) KEUNTUNGAN SELALUNYA BERGANTUNG KEPADA BERAPA BANYAK YANG BOLEH DIKELUARKAN BARANG KELUARAN ITU. SEBAB ITULAH KITA SELALU DIINGATKAN DENGAN JANJI BAHAWA KALAU KITA PEMURAH ALLAH S.W.T AKAN MEMURAHKAN REZEKI DENGAN BANYAKNYA HASIL YANG DIKELUARKAN.

Terima kasih Tun, sekarang lebih jelas.. Dinar emas sebaiknya sebagai matawang rujukan dagangan antara negara.. bukannya untuk 'main masak-masak' dalam negara. Ringgit yang merujuk pada simpanan emas sudah berpatutan. Sebaliknya, emas adalah investment yang baik kerana harganya stabil dan kian meningkat.
Itulah.. apa-apa yang hendak atau mesti dilakukan, kita wajar berfikiran jauh.. alhamdulillah..

Pakteh berpendapat apa yang dilakukan oleh Tun sedikit waktu dahulu akan menghasilkan impak yang besar jika dilaksanakan kerana dollar tidak lagi mampu mempengaruhi matawang dunia. Jika dilihat kepada kenyataan Tun dan juga apa yang diketahui ramai, tindakan kerajaan Pas kelantan memperkenalkan dinar dan menghubungkaitkannya dengan usaha Tun yang terdahulu, mempunyai niat yang tidak betul dan lebih meyakinkan Pakteh apabila fungi dinar ini boleh berubah dalam masa hanya beberapa hari.
Amat dikesali tindakan kerajaan Kelantan yang pada awalnya mengumumkan 1000 peniaga sanggup menggunakan dinar kelantan untuk urusniaga tetapi beberapa hari kemudian dimaklumkan ianya sekadar cenderamata. Mungkin inilah akibatnya jika begitu taksub menentang apa jua usaha kerajaan pusat sehinggakan dalam soal dinar ini, kerajaan Pas Kelantan TERMALU dengan sendirinya. Mana mungkin dinar digunakan untuk beli budu. Tun perkenalkan Dinar Emas untuk tujuan lain, Pas Kelantan perkenalkan Dinar Emas untuk ganti Ringgit....
mana perginya bijak pandai Pas sehingga dalam soal sebegini besar boleh terjadi sehingga begitu memalukan?
